Guide – How to Retrieve Microids Game Logs
Log files record events that occur while the game is running. They are essential for diagnosing launch issues, crashes, or unexpected behavior.
Step 1 – Close the Game
Before retrieving the log files, make sure the game is completely closed.
If the game is frozen or unresponsive, open Task Manager and verify that no game-related process is still running.
Step 2 – Locate the Log Folder
Depending on the game, log files are usually stored in one of the following locations:
Documents Folder
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\<GameName>\
or
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\My Games\<GameName>\
AppData Folder
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\<GameName>\
or
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\LocalLow\<GameName>\
Tip: The AppData folder is hidden by default. You can access it quickly by pressing Windows + R and entering:
%localappdata%
or
%appdata%
If necessary, refer to our article on hidden files and folders. Link
Step 3 – Identify the Log Files
Look for files with names such as:
- log
- logs
- output_log
- Player.log
- crash.log
- launcher.log
The exact file names may vary depending on the game.
Step 4 – Compress the Files (Only if They Are Large)
If the log files are too large to attach, select them, right-click, and choose:
Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder
This makes them easier to upload and send to our support team.
Step 5 – Send the Files to Support
Attach the ZIP file (if applicable) to your support request, along with the following information:
- The name of the game.
- The platform you are using (Steam, Epic Games, GOG, etc.).
- A detailed description of the issue.
- The steps required to reproduce the problem.
- A screenshot or the error message, if available.
Providing this information will help our support team investigate your issue more efficiently and provide a solution as quickly as possible.
